Get Your Free Credit Report from the Right Agency

When it comes to getting your credit report, did you know that only one website is authorized to provide the free credit reports you are entitled to receive by law? That site is

According to the Federal Trade Commission, be wary of other sites offering free credit reports. Some of them advertise that they will provide free reports, but then they charge hidden fees or require you to sign up for a trial membership. Be careful when ordering your report.

From you can either order your reports from the three major credit reporting agencies (Experian, Equifax and TransUnion) all at one time, or, you can order them one at a time. Either way, you are entitled to get one free report each year.

Honestly, it’s probably best to do it all at one time. That way you can review them all and correct mistakes accordingly.

How to Request the Your Free Credit Report

To get your free credit report, you can complete the request form on their websites, call them at 1-877-322-8228 or download the request form, complete it and mail it to their address at:

In order to get a free credit report, all you need is your name, address Social Security number and birth date. If you have moved recently, you’ll need to include your prior address.
